One of the misconceptions about Armored Core 6 pertains to its difficulty. Many gamers think they will face challenges comparable to other FromSoftware titles. It is understandable, given how this team has given us some of the most challenging bosses ever in gaming history. Yet, many things make Armored Core 6 easier and not as hard as other games from these developers. Yet, if you’re still on the fence about getting this game or not due to how challenging it might be, we’re here to clear those doubts by telling you everything about the game’s difficulty.

How Hard is Armored Core 6?

First and foremost, this game isn’t a souls-like title, and the developers established that. While it has fast-paced combat that can get very chaotic, it lacks some elements that would make this game join the legendary genre for which FromSoftware is known. Still, that doesn’t mean Armored Core 6 isn’t hard; it is, but the difficulty will change depending on your choices. The game will get complicated if you don’t build your AC correctly. You need to watch for many stats; having too much or too little of some will make the game more challenging.

Even if you have a fantastic AC with perfect builds, Armored Core 6 will still have some challenging moments. However, it won’t compare to recent bosses we saw in games like Elden Ring.

Bottom line, yes, the game is hard, but not as challenging as other FromSoftware games that sometimes deter players from trying them. As long as you have the right upgrades, invest time into learning the game’s mechanics, and build the right AC, you’ll be able to face all fights in Rubicon III. So, give this game a chance. It is different from what the developers have done, yet still carries the DNA of its titular games, which will make many players feel at home.

Armored Core 6 is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
