EA Sports FIFA won’t return in 2024, and instead this year we’ll receive EA Sports FC 24 instead of FIFA 24. This new game is just a rebranding of this new title, as Electronic Arts does not have the license to use the term FIFA anymore. However, the new game has some differences from the previous FIFA games. And here in this post, we’re about to dive into details to see FC 24 brings new mechanics to the series.

Is EA Sports FC 24 The FIFA 24?

Yes, EA Sports FC 24 is just the rebranded FIFA 24 coming in 2023. The new soccer game from Electronic Arts is the same as the previous FIFA games in almost every aspect, but EA Sports couldn’t make the final agreement with FIFA to license the new game as FIFA 24. The famous game modes of the FIFA series, like Volta, Career from FIFA 23, and the Ultimate Team are also featured in the FC 24. However, it is worth noting that there are a few changes in the gameplay of this new game.

Overall the EA Sports FC 24 is just like another FIFA game to play. The new FIFA 24 has the overall gameplay features of the previous games, designed by the same Frostbite engine. However, there’s a new addition to this game that has been recently showcased by the developers. You can use male and female players in the same squad in the FC 24 Ultimate Team!

This new feature gives you the prompt to unlock and use male and female players beside each other in the same team. However, this is for the Ultimate Team game mode only. Another notable addition that you can only use in the EA Sports FC 24 Ultimate Team is the PlayStyles.

With PlayStyles, you can use professional football players’ unique moves. To clarify the confusion, these moves are not for one player only. Many players might have the same PlayStyle feature. For example, players who are famous for taking powerful shots will have the Power Shot PlayStyle. Here are all the confirmed PlayStyles so far:

  • Power Shot
  • Dead Ball
  • Chip Shot
  • Finesse Shot
  • Power Header
  • Pinged Pass
  • Incisive Pass
  • Long Ball Pass
  • Tiki Taka
  • Whipped Pass
