The best and most in-depth aspect of Armored Core 6 is building your mech in the combat and aesthetic style you want. The game gives you several categories to select your guns, from Kinetic to Melee weapons and Energy Weapons. If you’re going to build your mech based on Energy Weapons or wish to have one at your disposal, here are the best Energy Weapons you can choose in Armored Core 6.

Top 5 Energy Weapons in Armored Core 6

In AC6, there are many Energy Weapons you can choose from to mount on your shoulder or use with your hands. In this guide, we won’t be ranking all of them but rather introducing the best Energy Weapons you can pick up depending on your style that will serve you right.

5 –  Vvc-760 Plasma Rifle

Vvc-760 is one of the early Energy Rifles you can unlock and use for much of the game. There are two particular reasons why you must use this Plasma Rifle. The first is its accuracy, which is quite good and will help you with boss fights that tend to move quickly. The second reason is its power to stagger and break down shields. It is a heavy weapon, so you either have to use smaller weapons or choose Tank or Tetrapods for your mech to handle the weight. You will unlock this weapon after completing the Destroy the Weaponized Mining Ship in the first chapter.

4 – VP-66LS Laser Shotgun

If you tend to get into close-ranged combat quickly in Armored Core 6, alongside the melee weapons, shotguns are your best friends. Now, if you like to have an Energy Weapon, check out the VP-66LS Shotgun. Like every other shotgun, it can cover a smaller range, but this weapon has an alternate firing mode: you can shoot a laser beam if you hold the fire button on your mouse or controller. You can unlock this weapon by completing the Attack the Watchpoint mission.

3 – Vvc-70VPM Plasma Missile Launcher

There are several Energy missile launchers in Armored Core 6 that you can use. You should go with Vvc-70 VPM because it doesn’t directly hit the target and instead shoots the plasma round into the air, and then they will drop down on enemies. For that reason, it is harder for enemies to dodge it, and it also creates an Area of Effect that will still damage the enemy if they dodge it. Like Vvc Plasma Rifle, you will unlock this weapon by completing Destroy the Weaponized Mining Ship.

2 – VP-60LCS Laser Cannon

One of the downgrades of Energy Weapons is their low fire rate. After each shot, you have to wait so it will be recharged to shoot again, especially if it’s a big gun. VP-60LCS is a laser cannon with a fantastic damage rate to stagger enemies that can fire multiple rounds between each reload session. You can also unlock this weapon in Mission 7, making it the best energy weapon to choose early in the game.

1 – FASAN/60E Plasma Cannon

The best energy weapon you can pick in AC6 is, by far, the FASAN Plasma Cannon. This weapon shoots a single bolt of energy. If the bolt hits the target, that’s a massive chunk of the enemy’s health gone, but if it doesn’t, there is no way they can escape its AoE blast. The combination of devastating damage and almost no way of missing the target makes FASAN the best energy weapon in the game. But it would be best to unlock it until the game’s last chapter. Still, once you use the weapon, you will realize it was worth the wait.
