Mortal Kombat 1 is here, and it brings many old features from the franchise for those who love a good nod to classic gameplay styles. One that many people will recognize is the Test Your Might Mode, which appears in Story Mode and Invasions in Mortal Kombat 1. While this little gameplay feature is fantastic and lets you stay on your toes while watching the flawless cutscenes NetherRealm has made, some people might want to turn it off so they can enjoy the story. If you want to know how to turn off Test Your Might in Mortal Kombat 1‘s Story Mode, this guide is for you.

Those who don’t want to turn off Test Your Might in Mortal Kombat 1′s Story Mode must practice finishing these events. To avoid failing them, we recommend you position your right hand on the right part of your controller and focus on two buttons. You must mash them fast and press R2 or RT to complete the event. The easiest way to do this is by pressing two buttons simultaneously. We mashed the X and O buttons on PS5 and discovered it was one of the fastest ways to finish these events.

That’s a wrap on how to turn off Test Your Might. However, for those who want to have more interactions during cutscenes, we recommend you keep this feature on. Remember, you can also find these events in Invasions Mode. They are equally challenging, and failing isn’t too bad, provided you like to see some gory outcomes. NetherRealm outdid themselves with the new brutalities, fatalities, and even scenes where you fail these vents. So, if you want to see how your characters meet their demise, failing isn’t that bad.

Mortal Kombat 1 is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
