This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

Sometimes, we need more to get by inย Mortal Kombat 1ย beyond nailing the right combos or button-mashing. That’s where Talismans come in; they offer various bonuses that can change the outcome of a fight. But if you just leave them as they are, they won’t be ready when youย face stronger opponents. That’s why you must learn how to upgrade theย Mortal Kombat 1ย Talismans. We’ll guide you through the process so your character is as strong as possible.

Talismans are fun ways to add bonus attributes to your character. Some of the potential buffs you can see are:

  • Increased health
  • Improved armor
  • Elemental damage
  • Increased speed

In Mortal Kombat 1, your Talisman may not mean much for long without an upgrade. Upgrading a Talisman can grant it new abilities, change the elemental type, and more. It’s a great way to adapt to the changing fighters in Invasion Mode.

Thankfully, as you follow the various paths on the game board, you’ll discover various locations known as Forges. After discovery, you can fast-travel to them at any time.

Have you played Mortal Kombat games before? If so, then the Forge is a familiar store. It was in The Krypt, and it’s there that you upgraded and crafted different materials.

In Mortal Kombat 1, the Forge in Invasion Mode is where you will upgrade Talismans. You can find several of them as you explore the different realm areas. Once there, you will use Komponents in your inventory for Talisman upgrades.

Upgrading Process

It’s a straightforward process to upgrade your Talisman inย Mortal Kombat 1. Once you select the Talisman you want, head to the upgrade page. It’s here that you’ll see your Komponents inventory and the available slots for your Talisman. A power bar on the side will fluctuate based on the Komponents you add.

We all want to make the strongest, best Talismans. However, that can break the Forge. Talismans that are too strong might fail. So, use caution in what you add and how many Komponents you bring to the table. You’ll always see the “Chance of Success” in the lower right-hand corner above the cost.

Recharging Talismans in Mortal Kombat 1

Even with all the upgrades in the world, your Mortal Kombat 1 Talisman does nothing if it’s not charged. Recharging your Talismans is simpler than upgrading them.

Again, we want to be at the Forge, so fast-travel to the nearest one as needed. Once you are there, select “Recharge” and see all the Talismans you have. It’s listed whether one needs recharging or not. If so, click on the one you want to charge and pay the accompanying Koins. Now you have a fresh Talisman to use.
