With the arrival of Fu Xuan’s banner to Honkai Star Rail in version 1.3, new events and companion missions like the ones for Lynx and Mach 7th were unlocked. In this new Honkai Star Rail mission, Farther Than The Snowplains, you can learn more about the youngest of the Laundau family. She was only mentioned a couple of times by her older siblings. Thankfully, she now has her quest, and we’ll guide you on how to unlock and complete it.
Honkai Star Rail: Farther Than The Snowplains Unlock Requirements
To unlock Lynx’s companion mission, you must first complete the Only A Child, Serval’s companion quest in Honkai Star Rail. With the arrival of the second banner phase, the quest will unlock automatically. When you start your game, you will get a group message with Serval and Gepard. The duo will ask you for a favor, and this will let you start the “Farther Than The Snowplains” mission in Honkai Star Rail.
Lynx’s Companion Mission Guide
In this quest, you will learn more about the complicated family relationship between the Landau siblings. Here, you’ll meet the mysterious younger sister of Gepard and Serval, an expert explorer and camper of Belobog.
First, you must go to the History and Culture Museum. There, you’ll meet the Landaus in the workshop, where Boris is. They will ask you to follow their sister to the snowy plains.
You can use the Golden Theater space anchor; it is the closest to Lynx’s location.
You will be teleported to Outlying Snow Plains, where you must find the best place to set up camp.
When you set up camp, the heater will not work, and you will need to search for the Geomarrow Activation Element.
You will find food, not the component, and you must return to the camp. Beware of the Warp Trotter. You can choose between fighting the trotter or taking a picture of it. Either option will make it disappear; after that, you will find the Geomarrow Activation Element.
You need to solve the Magflow Link to repair the heater.
After solving the puzzle, you can use the heater to cook something with the ingredients you found before. This will attract an enemy that you must defeat. Afterward, you can camp and watch the Northern Lights.
In the Administrative District, you should go to the Neverwinter Workshop to talk to the Landau siblings.
Head to the History and Culture Museum to talk with Lynx.
After Lynx explains her relationship with her siblings and Pela, she will ask you to go with her to the Neverwinter Workshop. Finally, let the siblings talk to each other, and the mission will end.

Farther Than The Snowplains is a sad mission in Honkai Star Rail, mostly because we discover so much of Pela‘s story and how Lynx is a great friend to her. This game delves into family relationships, and it is nice to see the relationship between the Landaus. While the quest is sad, finishing it will reward you with Pela and Lynx as visitors on the Astral Express. So, ultimately, there’s a silver lining to this nostalgic mission.
