Bandai Namco has finally revealed the release date for My Hero Ultra Rumble, a battle royale game set in the My Hero Academia universe. While some people have already had the chance to try the game for a bit, the official release is upon us, and it’ll be free to play. This is fantastic as, even if the genre is saturated, there’s always room for something fresh and fun, something we hope this game delivers. So, save the date because My Hero Ultra Rumble launches later this month.

My Hero Ultra Rumble is a battle royale game that’ll pit players against each other in known locations of the anime and manga. This game lets you play in teams of 3 to see who’s the best. From the trailer, we can see there are already many new characters like Ejiro Kirishima, Momo Yaoyorozu, and Ibara Shiozaki. Each of these will bring new gameplay elements to the mix, something players are looking forward to.

One thing we love about this battle royale game is that it’ll be free to play, meaning everyone can try My Hero Ultra Rumble when it launches on September 28. It’s still uncertain if this game will ever compete with Fortnite. So far, Epic Games’ prime title has done two collaborations with this legendary anime series. It seems that Bandai Namco saw how well-received this was, and they wanted to try their luck at a game of this genre.

Hopefully, the upcoming title will receive hefty updates to keep players hooked. As we know, battle royales tend to die down due to the lack of content or bad balancing among their characters, something that worries many players of My Hero Academia‘s new game. Ultimately, we’ll have to wait and see what the future holds for this title when it launches next week.
