It seems that Payday 3 has an error for everything. The latest one that players have had pop up on their screens is the Nebula Failed Account Already Linked Error. This error is essentially the game getting confused over which version of the game is being used once you’re logged into your Nebula account. This can be really frustrating, so we wrote out how to fix the Platform Account Already Linked error in Payday 3 and how to fix the login to Nebula!
As we explained, the error is a result of the Nebule servers being confused with which version of the game you are trying to play. As a result, there really isn’t a whole lot you can do about it. However, there are a few things you can do to make the servers reassess your issue and push you through. We lined each of the different fixes to the Platform Account Already Linked error in Payday 3 as follows:
- Check the server status and see if there are any ongoing issues currently happening. While there is no go-to place to check the status of the servers, you can reasonably assume that if you search if there they’re down on Google, other players just like you will show up asking the same question. If the issue is widespread, there is a good chance that you’ll need to wait it out.
- Close and exit the game and relaunch it. Don’t just exit the game from within the game and then start it back up.
- Log out and log back into the Nebula servers. This will allow Nebula to check to see if there is an issue with your accounts, giving it another chance to asses if you actually have a linking issue or if it was just a mistake.
- Clear your cookies for anything from Nebula specifically. That will give you a fresh start when you try to fix login to Nebula again.
- Create a completely new Nebula account that isn’t tied to your other one. You will need to use an email that you can get into as you will need to verify it. This isn’t a recommended fix simply because you won’t want to make a new account every time there is something wrong with yours.
- Just wait. Unfortunately, there are times when the issue just has no singular fix and you need to wait for Starbreeze Studios to announce that it’s been fixed.
