Back in the 1970s, Marvel produced stories so wild and large that a regular comic simply couldn’t hold them. So, it put these larger-than-life adventures in special Giant-Size issues. It all began with Giant-Size Super-Stars #1. For the next 50 years, these bigger-than-normal issues told some of the most memorable Marvel moments. This included the debut of the X-Men, the wedding of Scarlet Witch and Vision, Spider-Man VS. Dracula, and the first appearances of Multiple Man, Lilith, Korvac, and Tigra.

Since then, Giant-Size issues have become synonymous with the wildest Marvel adventures and twists. Fans knew that if it was a Giant-Size issue, then it was sure to be a good time. Now, Marvel is bringing the big guns back all throughout 2024. These new issues feature new stories as well as backup reprints of the classics. Plus, fans can familiarize themselves with these overstuffed issues with a reprint of the issue that started it all.

Spider-Man Is Large And In Charge

Kicking off this 50th-anniversary celebration is Giant-Size Spider-Man #1. Cody Ziglar and Iban Coello bring a showdown between Miles Morales and Dylan Brock to the Giant-Size issue. Plus, the issue features a reprint of Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man #22 from Brian Michael Bendis and Sara Pichelli. This features the epic finale of Miles’ showdown with Ultimate Venom.

Get ready for 2024; Marvel promises it will be a big one! Giant-Size Spider-Man #1 hits shelves on January 10.
