The Tupac shooting case is undoubtedly one of the most intriguing criminal cases in history. Recall that the rapper was riding in a car with Death Row Records co-founder Suge Knight in September 1996 when he was fatally shot in a drive-by shooting in the Las Vegas Valley, Nevada. Following the incident, the case remained unsolved for over two decades despite many theories making the headlines. However, a new development has come to light. Recently, the internet erupted after authorities arrested Keefe D in connection with the shooting. However, recent reports revealed that despite being a witness, Suge Knight has refused to testify against the suspect.
Suge Knight Won’t Testify in Tupac Shooting Case
The Tupac shooting case has garnered more attention over the last couple of days than it has in decades. Regarding the latest update, reports reveal Suge Knight says he won’t testify against shooting suspect Keefe D. On Monday, TMZ had an exclusive chat with the Death Row Records CEO. During the chat, he opened up about the recent arrest. Knight insisted that the police and prosecutors were mistaken about Keefe D’s arrest. He further noted that irrespective of what the suspect may have confessed to, he had nothing bad to say about him.
In addition, Knight clarified that he had no intention of taking the stand against Keefe D. According to the convicted felon, the whole situation was surprising as he was convinced neither Keefe D nor his late nephew Orlando Anderson were behind the shooting. Meanwhile, Knight is still serving a 28-year sentence for voluntary manslaughter and said he doesn’t wish prison on anyone.
The Police Arrest Tupac Shooting Suspect
After 27 years, the Tupac shooting case finally got a headway on September 29, 2023. On that fateful day, the police arrested suspect Keefe D while he was taking a walk near his home on the outskirts of Los Angeles. Following the arrest, the authorities noted that as the gang leader, Keefe Did called the shots for the individuals who killed Tupac. Per Nevada law, that was enough to get him a murder charge. Hours after the arrest, a grand jury indicted the suspect on one count of murder with a deadly weapon. Keefe D is expected to appear in court in the coming days.
