The spooky season has finally landed on Destiny 2, and you know what that means: The Festival of the Lost has started. As usual, there are many things for players to collect, including brand-new weapons, a lot of cosmetics, some fun masks, and even materials for those who want to upgrade their arsenal. If you’re a new Guardian jumping into this event for the first time or a veteran one needing a refresher of what this limited-time event is all about, this guide should help you.
What Is Festival of the Lost?
The Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost 2025 is this year’s Halloween season event. If you remember anything from previous years, the event takes on a trick-or-treat type of vibe while you compete in activities for candy that can be turned into the well-known Space Grandma, aka Eva Levante, for rewards of varying degrees.
Festival of the Lost 2025 Start Date and Time

The 2025 Festival of the Lost in Destiny 2 will begin on October 21st, 2025, and run until November 4th, 2025. You should expect the event to begin at the time of the weekly reset, so as soon as you jump in to start the weekly grind, that’s when the spooky festivities will also kick off.
If you’re unsure how to properly start the quest, head to The Tower and speak with Eva Levante to get the seasonal quest. You can also jump straight to the action through the Portal, but it is better to visit Space Grandma before diving in.
