As many long-term players know, when it comes to glitches, Genshin Impact has few problems overall. Due to its nature as a live service Gacha game, HoYoverse is quick to patch out any bugs that may give players an advantage or hinder their experience. With that being said, more often than not, a few Genshin Impact bugs and glitches still slip through the cracks. Now, unlike some of the more game-breaking glitches of the past, the glitches still in Genshin are much smaller and have little impact. These bugs range from weird visual glitches to sending players to unintended places. Here are some Genshin Impact bugs and glitches in Fontaine and beyond to check out before they get patched.
Genshin Impact Glitch Makes Walking Underwater In Liyue Harbor Possible
Even though swimming was added during Genshin Impact 4.0 in the Fontaine region, this isn’t the only place players can have an adventure underwater. By heading to Liyue Harbor, head towards the entrance of the city. By gliding down, players can find a boat that is close to the dock but still has a tiny space that a player can rest in. Landing in this space will catch the player on both the boat and the dock and stick them there for a second. After a few attempts and a little bit of patience, if done correctly, your current character will be sent under the water. Now, you can walk underwater as if you were traveling normally on the surface. You can walk around quite a bit down there, though there isn’t really that much to see. Still, going underwater in Liyue is a fun Genshin glitch to see.
Climbing Horizontally Makes For a Hilarious Genshin Glitch
While it’s a bit less interesting than walking underwater, this Genshin Impact glitch is hilarious to pull off, especially with the right characters. For this glitch, players will need to head to Port Ormos in the Sumeru region. By flying down to the southeastern side of the city, you’ll find a post in the water near a boat. By simply climbing up this post onto the dock, the game will stick your character in the climbing animation while staying on a horizontal surface. Although this sounds small, seeing intense characters like Neuvillette or Zhongli crawling around on a dock will never not be funny. Similar to the underwater glitch, you can’t really travel that far.
Out of Bounds Under The Boss Wolf
For more visually interesting Genshin Impact glitches, we have an out-of-bounds glitch that can take players under Andrius, the wolf boss in Mondstadt. By heading to the back of the boss arena, players can find a small area that a normal character can’t fit into. However, small characters, like Nahida, can fit into this tiny space. Through a combination of dashing around, jumping, and climbing, players should be able to squeeze themselves through the space until their character shoots into the straight area at the end. After entering this even smaller area, by pushing a little more, players can push themselves under the boss arena. For examples of how to perform these last three glitches, YouTuber Emergency Food provides some excellent information.
Venti Falls Down a Flight of Stairs
For another Genshin Impact visual bugs and glitches, we have arguably one of the funniest in the game. For this glitch, players will want to return to Liyue Harbor. Here, they will find a set of stairs leading to the central area of the city. Players will want to head to the roof of a nearby building and jump down far enough to take lethal fall damage. At the same time, you’ll want to aim for the stairs and open the time menu. Then close the menu and hit the ground, and your active character should hilariously ragdoll on the stairs.
Genshin Lets You Glitch Beneath Fontaine
Finally, for the last Genshin Impact glitch on our list, we are going to explore the hidden depths of Fontaine. By heading to a tunnel near the southwestern side of the region, players can find an area where they can clip into the wall. Similar to the “wolf boss glitch,” we will need a small female character model. Like the last out-of-bounds glitch, I performed my tests with Nahida. Next, players will want to squeeze themselves between the Aqua Railway and the ground. Once firmly stuck, you’ll want to switch parties to a group with a tall male character up first. For this example, I used Arataki Itto. Then simply switch back to your party with your small female character up first, and you’ll enter the forbidden underbelly of Fontaine.
