Valorant‘s next Agent, Iso, has finally been revealed to players, and a little earlier than planned. Earlier this week, images of the character selection screen were accidentally leaked, spoiling the party. Riot Games has responded by unveiling the cinematic trailer today, as well as sharing video footage of Iso’s abilities that give us our first proper look at the Agent.
Valorant Agent Iso Has Bullet Proof Abilities
The initial reveal would have taken place towards the end of the year, but the leaks have pushed the schedule forward. A trailer showcasing Iso’s backstory, as well as a full overview of the abilities, are now available — and they’re pretty wild. Not only can Iso send forward a bulletproof shield that blocks bullets but also isolate enemies in a 1v1 scenario for his ultimate. It’s Call of Duty gulag stuff… in a tactical shooter. We’re interested to see how that works out!
All Valorant Iso Abilities
- (E) Double Tap -START a focus timer. Once completed, enter a flow state during which downed enemies
you kill or damage generate an energy orb. Firing at this orb grants you a shield which
absorbs one instance of damage from any source. - (Q) Undercut EQUIP a molecular bolt. Fire to throw it forward, applying a brief FRAGILE to all players
it touches. The bolt can pass through solid objects, including walls. - (C) Contingency – EQUIP to assemble prismatic energy. FIRE to push an indestructible wall of energy
forward that blocks bullets. - (X / ULT) Kill Contract – EQUIP an interdimensional arena. FIRE to hurl a column of energy through the battlefield, pulling you and the first enemy hit into the arena. You and your opponent duel to the death.
What We Knew Before The Leak
At the start of 2023, three new agents were announced and they would be released over the year. Two of those agents, Gekko and Deadlock, were released earlier this year. The next agent was teased in a news announcement with only an image of them eating as a clue. Even early access players didn’t get many clues about the new agent’s identity.
Purple cells were seen on maps which were hinted to be related to Iso’s capabilities but nothing was definitive. However, a leak of Iso’s appearance was released recently which gave players a good look at the third agent.
With the surprise no longer present, Valorant moved forward with the information about ISO by releasing assets and a trailer about him. Even though the leak didn’t give much away in terms of gameplay, every Valorant player knew who the third agent would be.
Valorant Iso Agent Release Date
Iso is set to launch later this month, Oct. 31, along with Valorant Episode 7, Act 3. As usual, the new Act will also feature a premium weapon skin bundle, as well as a new Battle Pass.
