In true survival-crafting game fashion, iron is also one of the most essential materials in Return to Moria. If you want to fix certain structures or craft better tools, you must search high and low for this reagent. Since the game can be a bit scary and finding some resources can be challenging for many, we’ve prepared a guide to show you where to find this crucial item and some of its uses in this new title.

To find iron, you must stick to the walls in any of the areas in the game. Identifying the resource will be easy, as the walls are red. This means it is an iron ore deposit. You can mine this material with your basic pickaxe, and most of the deposits yield a lot of iron, meaning you won’t struggle to craft or fix certain things. However, there’s another way to get a bunch of iron fast and easy. Here’s what you can do:

  • Explore any of the areas until you find broken buildings.
  • Find the ones with broken forges and furnaces.
  • In the back of those buildings, you’ll find crates. Smash them to get 10 to 11 pieces of iron ore.
