Fishing in Palia is one of the main activities. Fish can be sold for Gold, given to other characters as a gift, used for cooking, bundles, and much more. However, to catch a certain type of fish, it is not enough just to cast a line into the water. For example, Kilima Catfish can only be caught in ponds in Palia using certain bait. Therefore, you should prepare before you go fishing.
Where To Find Kilima Catfish
All fish in Palia are divided into several rarities. But this mainly affects the cost of the fish, and not the difficulty of catching it. So even if you want to catch a common fish like Kilima Catfish in Palia, you will spend a lot of time trying to find its spawn locations.
So, to find Kilima Catfish, you only need to check several ponds in the Kilima Valley. We recommend that you visit Mirror Pond Ruins as well as the pond west of Daiya Family Farm. Fortunately, this fish does not have any special schedule, so you can go fishing at any time of the day.
How To Catch Kilima Catfish in Palia
Although Kilima Catfish is a common fish in Palia, it cannot be caught with an empty hook. Therefore, you should stock up on worms:
- You can raise Worms at Worm Farms.
- You can get this bait from Zeki’s Wondrous Machine.
- You can purchase Worms from the General Store.
After this, go to one of the ponds described above and cast a line with a Worm as bait. It may take you a few tries to catch exactly the Kilima Catfish, but you will handle it without any problems.
How To Use Kilima Catfish
First of all, you can sell Kilima Catfish in Palia for 39 Gold, or 58 Gold if you catch a star-quality fish. You will also need it to prepare Fried Catfish Dinner:
- Kilima Catfish
- Tomato
- Onion
- Any Spice
- Flour
Finally, you can gift Kilima Catfish to other characters to improve your friendship level and unlock new quests:
