Amazon is not fooling around with their commitment to gaming; after purchasing streaming service Twitch in 2014, Amazon has been doing their best to become a huge player on the gaming scene. They started a game studio (which just announced its first few titles), released a free game engine, and now are releasing a new way for people to enjoy streaming on Twitch: Twitch Prime.

Twitch Prime is available to all Amazon Prime subscribers, and it adds some interesting perks to those who watch streamers on Twitch. It provides ad-free viewing, which is probably its best perk. In addition, Twitch Plus members will get all sorts of monthly game loot, whether that be skins, characters, or even free games. Finally, every Twitch Plus subscriber will get one free subscription to any streamer once a month. That streamer will still be paid (just by Amazon/Twitch), so, according to Twitch CEO Emmet Shear, Twitch Prime is “literally giving your favorite streamer free money.”

Anyone who is already an Amazon Prime member just needs to link their Twitch and Amazon accounts at the Twitch Prime website to start taking advantage of these new perks. This month’s free loot include a Hearthstone hero, a skin for Smite, a weapon skin for Paladins, and a free game called Streamline. There is also a 30 day free trial period for those who are not yet Amazon Prime members. After that, Prime costs $10.99 per month or a flat yearly fee of $99.

Those not interested in Amazon Prime can still subscribe to Twitch Turbo for $8.99 per month, but all that will get you is ad-free viewing. That will actually cost you more per year than an Amazon Prime membership, and you will not have access to the extra perks besides. Twitch Prime is available now in countries where Amazon Prime is available.

Excited for some new perks to your Amazon Prime account? Let us know in the comments below.
