A battle can be simple or heart attack-inducing, so strategic control of your party is vital in For the King 2. Abilities are versatile enough that everyone serves a unique purpose. If you don’t grasp the basics of the skills, how else will you know the best use of the abilities? Your initial class selection determines your starting skill. However, you can still access several other abilities later. So, it’s ideal to learn about each of the skills in For the King 2.

How Every Skill Works in For the King 2

Each class offers a unique starting skill to get you going in the game. But let’s focus on all 28 available skills in For the King 2. This way, you know what party composition works best for the upcoming dangers.

For the King 2 SkillWhat it Does
Build ScarecrowAt the start of combat, you have a chance to place a scarecrow on the front row.
Called ShotIncrease your chance of getting a perfect roll with an equipped bow.
CheersA chance to spread alcohol effect to nearby players.
DistractAn increased chance to disrupt an attacking enemy’s roll.
EagerIncrease your chance of attacking first.
Elite AmbushOnly 1 slot roll is needed to ambush an enemy, and only 2 needed to ambush camps.
Elite SneakYou only need 2 slot rolls to sneak a solo enemy and 3 slots to sneak an enemy camp.
Energy BoostIncreased chance to receive an additional action point after a turn.
EurekaThe focus bar fills up after you level up.
Find AlcoholIncreased chance of receiving alcohol in a dungeon or after a turn ends.
Find HerbIncreases the chance to get a random herb after a turn ends or in a dungeon.
Find ScrollIncreases the chance of getting a random scroll after a turn ends or in a dungeon.
GuardIf a character in the front row has a shield, incoming damage to the back line is blocked.
HardworkExhausting focus in combat gets you an additional primary action.

HerdChance to find a sheep follower at the end of a turn.
Iron BellyRemoves negative effects of alcohol.
JusticeIncrease the small chance of dealing splash damage in a perfect strike with a two-handed weapon.
Make PotionIncreased chance you will receive a random potion in a dungeon or at the end of a turn.
NavigatorYou’ll gain 2 additional move points at the end of a turn on all boats.
Nice DayOn a sunny day, you have an increased chance to get more overworld movement.
Party HealIncreased chance to heal your party in combat, the overworld, and at rest.
RefocusMight gain a focus point at the end of a turn or in a dungeon.
ScoutIncreased chance to reveal the contents in the next dungeon room.
Smoke FleeChance to flee with 1 less roll on any combat tile.
SteadfastWith a shield, you have a chance to negate incoming damage.
Support RangeFrom an additional hex tile away, can join combat.
SurveyGives a small chance to find hidden points of interest.
TacticsIncreased chance to buff a tile that has +5 attack power.
