Move over, Power Rangers. There’s a new team of Earthling teenagers piloting combinable robot animals in town. The second season of Voltron is coming to Netflix. Originally aired in 1984, Netflix revived the crime-fighting giant robot earlier this summer and received a large amount of applause for the effort. And Dreamworks, the company behind the American anime, has a few things in store at the upcoming New York Comic Con to help usher in season two. A brief trailer has already been released, and fans can peruse the Voltron con schedule below.

NYCC Voltron events:

Friday, October 7:
Signing – 1pm – 2pm, table 21 in autographing area, Javits Center hall 1-B
Season 2 sneak peek – 2:30pm – 3:30pm, Javits Center main stage. Attendees to receive exclusive poster!
Fan party – 7pm – 10pm, location TBA

Saturday, October 8:
Lion Forge Comics signing – 1:30pm – 2:20pm, booth number 1669

Voltron’s first season consisted of 124 episodes, but the length of its continuation is unknown, nor is a specific release date. We do know that it will be later this year. Also, the premiere shown at the con will be a full, complete episode rather than just an extended trailer. Fan hype is at an all-time high, and the Internet has already exploded with fan theories revolving around the fate of Shiro, pilot of the Black Lion in the American reboot. Those who haven’t seen the first season are encouraged to catch up on it before watching the new one, as it will be a direct sequel.

The missing details regarding the new season’s release date, plot and episode count are likely to be revealed during the screening event. But don’t worry if you didn’t score a ticket this year – there’s no way a reveal this big is going to stay under wraps for more than a day at the very most.
