Like Portia, the town of Sandrock holds weekly Fireside meetings, during which the residents discuss the town’s latest problems. You are introduced to your first Fireside meeting shortly after your first week but aren’t frequently announced apart from on special occasions. Even if you’re not interested in the matters being discussed, these get-togethers are a great way to catch local citizens in one spot in My Time at Sandrock.

Fireside meetings take place outside City Hall every Sunday from 18:00 – 19:55 PM. You will see some citizens gathering before that time, but as it gets closer to 18:00, all citizens begin to arrive. The acting Mayor will host the chat, depending on your story progress, and you will see them shortly before the discussion starts. You can enter and leave these meetings anytime you want.

Special Fireside meetings will have a scene play and some special announcements regarding the event. Regular meetings don’t have notifications, and everyone gathers together while the Mayor discusses the city’s status. During the same two hours, all available citizens will come to the City Hall to listen to the meeting. You can still interact with them, play Critters, or give gifts as if it were a normal conversation. If someone is unavailable due to story or quest reasons, they will be found outside of the meeting.

After 19:55 PM, every citizen will begin to leave and resume their typical activities as the meeting ends. Citizens will have conversations reflecting the content of the Mayor’s speeches, which is an opportunity for more relationship points. Special Fireside meetings include the Dance-Off, the Zeegler problem, bridge donations, and the return of Mayor Trudy. These meetings take place at the same location and start during the same time interval, but you can’t leave until the event is over.
