Eyeless Dogs are pretty much what they sound like: eyeless dogs the size of bears. Unsurprisingly, they’re blind, but that doesn’t mean they can’t track you. Though it’s true that they cannot detect you visually, Eyeless Dogs can detect you by hearing. The noises you make will attract these large and aggressive predators, so your first line of defense is staying quiet. Crouch to make less noise and avoid drawing their attention if you want any chance of finding out whether the game ends.
One thing that players may not realize at first is that Eyeless Dogs can hear mic inputs too. That’s right: even if your character is motionless, if you talk to your friends, an Eyeless Dog can hear you. It’s a brilliant design decision because forcing real-world silence instantly increases immersion.
