The Air Strike item was introduced to Fortnite in Season 9, and as strange as it may seem in a game like this, you can actually use this device to call in an aerial attack on your enemies. As Fortnite OG has moved up to Season 9, the Air Strike has been added back into the game. Knowing how to use Air Strike in Fortnite OG is as important as knowing where and how to find it.

In Fortnite OG, just like before, Air Strikes can be obtained from Supply Drop and Chests, and can also be found as Floor Loot. Air Strike comes in 2 pairs and can be stacked up to 4. Especially if you’re not playing Zero Build, we recommend carrying an item like Air Strike or Junk Rift. This is because with these items you can easily demolish buildings or player structures. Air Strike fires 20 missiles for 8 seconds, each dealing 50 damage. It deals 400 damage to structures.

An Air Strike gives you a great option to force players out of hiding, making them an open target. This allows you to beam them from a distance or hunt them down with a weapon like the Heavy Sniper Rifle. We recommend using mobility items such as Jetpack, Grapple, or Grapple Glove to prevent this from happening to you.

After finding Air Strike in Fortnite OG, it remains to use it. Although it may seem simple to use this item, it is actually not easy at all. Even a casual player who knows how to play a little bit of Fortnite can easily dodge the Air Strike. Therefore, it is extremely important to play wisely with this item. In my opinion, this item should not be seen as an item that will damage or kill other players.

You should think of Air Strike in Fortnite OG as a tool to force players to make the wrong decision. What I mean by this is that with this item you should dominate your opponent and steer them in the direction you want them to go. Your main goal shouldn’t be to damage the enemy with the Air Strike’s missiles, but it’s certainly much better if that happens.

Finally, when you use Air Strike, make sure to use at least 2-3 of them. And never throw them on your own side, so that the player doesn’t run away from you. Throw the first one directly at your enemy and the others on the sides where they can escape.
