We’re sure all Fortnite players were extremely frustrated by the lack of a proper mobility item in Fortnite OG other than Grappler. Fortunately, the Grapple Blade has been added to Fortnite with Chapter 5 Season 1, and this item functions a lot like the ODM Gear you are familiar with. This item allows you to be swift and deal damage to the opponent in a very similar manner. Therefore, it is one of the must-have items in your Loadout in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1.

Grapple Blade will undoubtedly be one of the indispensable items in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1. Thanks to this mobility item, you can quickly change locations, take advantageous positions, escape from enemies, or catch them. There are 5 different bosses in the game, Oscar, Nisha, Montague, Valeria, and Peter Griffin, and each of them is located in different locations. When you kill these bosses you get Society Medallions which give you various buffs. They also allow you to open the Vault underneath the location they are guarding. These Vaults contain quite rare and plenty of loot. Therefore, you are very likely to find a Grapple Blade in these Vaults. Other than that, in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1, you can find Grapple Blades in Chests, Supply Drops, and as a Floor Loot like many other drops. At the same time, since it will be one of the essential items of the Chapter, you can also get it from the loot of many players you kill.

Grapple Blade’s mechanics are very similar to Web-Shooters and ODM Gear, which have already been added to Fortnite. When you pick up the Grapple Blade, you’ll see a cursor on your screen which automatically locks on to points where the device can cling. When you right-click with it, a grappling hook shoots out of the Grapple Blade and shoots towards your aiming point, taking you with it.

When you press the fire button, the Grapple Blade’s blades are activated, and you’ll deal damage to any enemy nearby, just like with the ODM Gear. However, the Grapple Glove has several uses, you should always check your remaining number of uses frequently when using it. It will refill itself after a while once it’s completely used up, but if you’re fighting someone and you suddenly fall down in the middle of a firefight, things will not be pretty.
