Whether you’re new or a veteran in WoW Classic, you must know that Season of Discovery added a lot of new enemies for certain classes to beat, such as the Wandering Swordsman for Warriors. While at first, it might seem like something not entirely necessary, beating this NPC is quite helpful. If you want to get all runes in the game, you must face this rare NPC and beat him in a duel to get one of the best Rune Engravings for Warriors in the MMO.
Wandering Swordsman Location in WoW Classic: Season of Discovery
After leaving your race’s starting area, the next challenge you might find as a Warrior is the Wandering Swordsman. The catch here is that, finding him can be challenging and beating him even more. Besides, since all races can be Warriors, you’ll need to roam the map to find him before other adventures get to him. Here, we’ll list all the locations for each race.
Human
Humans can find the Wandering Swordsman in Elwynn Forest. Even if this is the first area, don’t get too confident. There are many dangerous NPCs, and this duelist isn’t an exception. You can find him in the following coordinates:
- 24.4, 69.4
- 24.4, 69.4
- 30.2, 73.2
- 29.8, 76.4
- 38.6, 76.0
Dwarf and Gnome
Dwarves and Gnomes have it easier. So far, we haven’t noticed the NPC move too much in Dun Morogh, which is the initial zone for these races. Here is where you can find him:
- 51.8, 48.8
- 53.6, 47.6
Night Elf
If you’re a Kal’dorei, you will need to do a bit more exploring. Of all the Alliance spots, the Wandering Swordsman appears in more spread-out locations, such as the following:
- 39.6, 37.6
- 39.8, 69.6
- 62.6, 71.8
- 43.8, 76.8
Orc and Troll
Moving on to the Sons of the Horde, we have Orcs and Trolls. These races must also travel far and wide across Durotar to find the NPC. Here are the coordinates:
- 37.0, 46.8
- 41.0, 49.6
- 56.0, 38.2
- 56.8, 21.4
Tauren
We now travel to Mulgore, the game’s most beautiful starting location, albeit with some dangers, too. Tauren Warriors must reach these coordinates to find the NPC:
- 45.6, 36.4
- 51.8, 39.2
- 60.2, 67.6
- 40.6, 53.0
Forsaken
Last but not least, we have the Forsaken or Undead. Those who spawn in Tirisfal Glades must travel to these coordinates to reach the duelist:
- 79.8, 65.4
- 78.2, 63.4
To find the Wandering Swordsman easily, we recommend grabbing the Tom Tom Addon for WoW Classic: Season of Discovery; with it, you can input the coordinates, and you’ll get a waypoint on your map. You can grab it from CurseForge’s website.
How To Beat the Wandering Swordsman
Initially, the NPC might not seem too dangerous since it is level 7. However, it is a rare mob denoted by the Silver Dragon around his portrait. In our case, we grabbed a group of 5 Warriors and beat him. To initiate the fight, you must speak to him and ask for a duel. He’ll attack the person who interacted with him first. After defeating him, he’ll drop a chest containing the Rune of Blood Frenzy.
We recommend finding this NPC as soon as possible because the Rune Engraving he drops is fantastic. It provides players with 3 Rage each time they deal bleed damage, making it a great choice for Warrior Tanks or for leveling. However, remember to bring a party because it’ll be difficult to beat this NPC on your own.
