Coral Island has many buildings besides your farm. And you should visit them from the very beginning, as many will help you progress and earn Gold faster. For example, in Lab, players can upgrade seeds or fodder, buy rare ingredients, and automate their farm. Of course, it will cost some time and resources, but the result is definitely worth it. In addition, players will be able to start doing this as soon as they find the necessary materials.
What Is the Lab Used for in Coral Island?
The laboratory is located in Starlet Town, so you can easily find it. There, you will meet a marine biologist named Ling. She will happily help you upgrade your farm in exchange for kelp essences and Gold. However, not all Coral Island Lab services will be available to you from the beginning.
All Lab Upgrades
One of the most important features of the Lab in Coral Island is fodder and seed upgrades. By purchasing them, you’ll be able to harvest and produce products of higher quality. Each upgrade will take 1-4 days depending on its level. After upgrading, you can purchase the fodder and seed from Sam or Jack.

Finally, you can use fossil nodes in the Lab in Coral Island. For just 20 Gold, the Lab will process them into resources and dinosaur bones. It’s worth noting that you can reload the save before processing fossil nodes to change the resulting items.
