GTFO fans can rejoice at both the fact that there’s still one more Rundown they can enjoy and that the 10 Chambers team is working on a new game. The teaser trailer was just shown off at The Game Awards 2023 and details a corporate espionage thriller like no other. Ulf Andersson and Simon Viklund have had the concept for Den of Wolves in the back pockets for nearly a decade, and its finally time to debut to the world. Now that it’s out in the universe at The Game Awards 2023, we have details that can be shared about Den of Wolves based on our time hearing about the game firsthand.

The teaser trailer only shows a taste of what we can expect from the final release of Den of Wolves. It takes place in the future city of Midway City, where big corporations have managed to twist the arm of the government. Corporate bigwigs and CEOs are now in charge and free to do as they please so long as the money continues to roll in.

Similar to GTFO, the gameplay revolves around four-player co-op heists with missions relying on how well the players can communicate with one another. The heists can be planned out in advance to ensure everyone is on the same page. There are also different pathways that can be taken for maximum replayability. You’ll experience mission types from stealth to full-blown shootouts and everything in between.

When Does Den of Wolves Come Out?

The Den of Wolves The Game Awards 2023 trailer did not announce a release date. However, early access on Steam is planned with an expected release on current-gen platforms. There will also be world-expanding DLC in the future that will detail new storylines and take players to be locations. While there will be microtransactions, they will be limited to cosmetic items. The 10 Chambers team assured The Nerd Stash that these microtransactions will not be pay-to-win. They will also not gamble player’s funds away and will not have wildly fluctuating costs.
