During their latest outing, the Black Panther actress and Dawson’s Creek alum were photographed holding hands while taking a walk together. They were casually strolling around Joshua Tree, California, when TMZ captured them showing off a bit of PDA.

The photos of Joshua Jackson and Lupita Nyong’o holding hands appear to confirm rumors they’re an item. According to Us Weekly, they’ve only been dating for a “short while.” They were apparently friends first before their relationship turned romantic. Although things are still “very new” between them, everything seems to be going “really well.” Despite their fame, an insider reportedly told the publication the actors are trying to keep their relationship low-key.
Joshua Jackson and Lupita Nyong’o first sparked dating rumors when they attended a Janelle Monáe concert together on Oct. 18. Although they went with a group of friends, rumor has it Jackson and Nyong’o arrived at the show together. Weeks later, the pair continued to fuel romance rumors by going on a grocery shopping date on Dec. 4.
Finding Love Again After Heartbreak
Before getting together with Nyong’o, Jackson was in a relationship with actress Jodie Turner-Smith. They began dating in 2018 after meeting at a party and then officially tied the knot the following year. In April 2020, they welcomed a daughter named Juno Rose Diana. After spending five years together as a couple, Turner-Smith filed for divorce from Jackson on Oct. 2.
Nyong’o also recently went through a breakup. On Oct. 19, the actress announced that she and her boyfriend, Selema Masekela, were no longer together. She shared the news in a lengthy note on Instagram.
