Rainbow Frost Explosion is one of the 2023 Winter event-exclusive Explosion skins that you can unlock in the Roblox Blade Ball game. While you can only acquire this coveted skin during the Christmas celebration, thankfully getting one shouldn’t be too hard. The skin has a decent drop rate and is considered as a Common item. Developer Wiggity is also quite generous in giving out the currency for obtaining it, the Snowflakes. You do not even have to clear out the season’s Battlepass and can still get a bunch of free Snowflakes per day.
Blade Ball: How Can You Unlock the Rainbow Explosion?
Rainbow Explosion and other Blade Ball Winter skins can be unlocked through the 2023 event-exclusive Christmas Explosion Crate Spin. You can access this menu by pressing the Winter Event icon on the bottom right of your screen. Then select the Explosion Crate tab from the newly opened window. Don’t forget that you need to own at least 150 Snowflakes to be able to perform a spin!
The Rainbow Frost Explosion is considered a Common skin with a 13% drop rate from the Spin. Press the question mark (?) button below the Spin button to show each Explosion spin rate. Otherwise, you can also check all of the skin drop rates in the table below.

With that considered, you should not need to grind Snowflakes too hard to get the Explosion skin. Snowflakes themselves can be acquired by completing the event’s Battlepass, from Daily Rewards, or through the Free Rewards menu. Just like the Christmas Explosion Crate Spin, Free Rewards can be found by clicking the Winter icon. Each day, you can claim up to 275 free Snowflakes to unlock the Rainbow Frost and other Explosion skins in Blade Ball:
- 25 Snowflakes.
- 25 Snowflakes.
- 50 Snowflakes in 30 minutes of playtime.
- 75 Snowflakes with 1 hour of playtime.
- 100 Snowflakes from 2 hours and 30 minutes of playtime.
