The Grappler is an incredibly useful and expensive item that you may remember from the original Fortnite. With its help, you can move easily and quickly, especially if you need to traverse some mountains or escape a cave. As with most other items, you will have to craft it by finding the necessary resources, and in this case, processing them with different workstations.

If you’re an old-school Fortnite fan, you may remember that the Grappler was introduced in Season 5 and became a real sensation in the game. Since then, this item continued to appear in other seasons, and now, you can even get it in LEGO Fotrnite. Unlike other modes, getting a Grappler here is much more difficult because, instead of just finding it somewhere else, you will need to craft it. The crafting recipe is quite complicated and requires effort. Here are the resources you’ll need and how you can get them:

ItemsQuantityHow to get
Copper Bars3Take the pickaxe and head into the desert biome to find the cave because that’s where Copper spawns. Explore the cave, searching for Copper, which looks like brown crystals protruding from the stone. It will be enough to find 3 Copper for crafting. Without leaving the cave, also find the Lava Roller enemies and kill them, or make them self-destruct to get a Blast Core. You need 6 of them. Head back to the village and use the Metal Smelter to create 3 Copper Bars with 3 Copper and 6 Blast Core.
Blast Powder3Blast Powder can be obtained by killing Pirate Skeletons, which usually spawn in the beach biome.
Cord10Get 50 Vines by breaking bushes and plants around the world. When you do, use the Spinning Wheel to turn them into Cord at a 5-to-1 ratio.

Once this is done, the last thing you need to do is make a Rare Crafting Bench. If you have a Common Crafting Bench, you will first need to upgrade it to an Uncommon Crafting Bench using the following resources:

  • Planks x8
  • Shells x3

Once this is done, you can then finally modify the structure to a Rare Crafting Bench using the following resources:

  • Sand Shells x3
  • Sand Claws x6
  • Knotroot Rods x12
  • Marble Slabs x15

Next, interact with the Rare Crafting Bench, select the Grappler recipe as active, and create it using the above materials.

The mechanics of using the Grappler in Lego Fortnite are no different from those that were in the original modes. When you have the Grappler in your hands, all you have to do is aim at the desired target and fire. This will send you flying in the direction where the suction cup has hit. This is very useful because you can get out of caves, run away from enemies, or climb to the top of the environment much faster. It’s worth noting that Grappler has only 10 uses, so make sure to spend it wisely.
