This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

Despite the variety of dangers and fun along the way, the main goal of players in Lethal Company is to fulfill the quota. And Apparatus is one of the controversial ways to collect the necessary scraps. On the one hand, this device appears in every object and can be sold for 80 Credits. On the other hand, removing the Apparatus can make your run much more difficult. After all, the game will try to scare you about radiation exposure, but is it really that dangerous? However, we are here to help you and tell you everything about the mysterious Apparatus in Lethal Company.

Apparatus is a large luminous lantern responsible for power supply to objects. You can find it in a large room at the back of the building and notice the device by its loud humming noise. This light is mounted on the side of a giant electrical box, so you won’t miss it.

Once you get close enough, you can interact with Apparatus to take it. But keep in mind that you must carry it in two hands. Therefore, you will be unarmed when meeting enemies. However, this is the least of your problems since removing this device entails several consequences.

Should You Remove Apparatus in Lethal Company

To answer the question, yes, you should remove Apparatus in Lethal Company, but only at the end of the run. The positive side of this decision is the guaranteed 80 Credits you can collect during each race. But the reason why you should do this only after completing everything else is because of the following consequences:

  • First, all team members will receive notification of dangerous radiation levels. It looks scary but does not affect the player or the environment. You will not lose health no matter how long you hold the Apparatus.
  • The second disadvantage is that Apparatus is responsible for powering the facility. If you remove this device, all lights, electric doors, etc will turn off, and you will have to rely only on your Flashlight. However, Mines and Turrets will still be active, and your team can disable them via the Terminal.
  • Finally, there is a high probability that two random monsters will spawn in the building after removing the Apparatus. We’re not sure if these events are related, but the appearance of monsters could explain the radiation notification.

Lethal Company is available on PC via Steam.
