‘Tis the season of savings on the Epic Games Store. Starting today, December 13th, Epic Games has kicked off their usual annual holiday sale via their PC storefront. Though the Epic Games Store is no stranger to regular discounts and even freebies, the holiday sale serves as a clean bookend to the year. Over the coming weeks, the Epic Games Store will see a variety of big-name games given away for free in the name of holiday giving. The names of every game slated to be given away haven’t been revealed yet, but we know that the sale kicks off today with Destiny 2: Legacy Collection.

As part of its holiday sale, the Epic Games Store will reportedly be giving away 17 free games between now and the end of the year. We’re not yet sure what games the games the sale will include, but the offerings begin now with the Destiny 2: Legacy Collection. Epic Games Store customers will have between today, December 13th, and December 20th to get Destiny 2 and select expansions included in the Legacy Collection completely free on PC.

While this may not seem like a big deal since Destiny 2 is usually free-to-play, the Legacy Collection also bundles in the Beyond Light, The Witch Queen, and Shadowkeep expansions, turning the deal into a three-for-one savings. The game’s third, fourth, and fifth-year expansions give players three unique campaigns to play through as they battle enchanted soldiers, nightmares, and even darkness itself in Bungie‘s acclaimed co-op shooter.

Interested customers can get Destiny 2: Legacy Collection for free on the Epic Games Store for one week. Once this offer ends, the EGS holiday sale will shift to giving away one free game per day until January 4th, 2024, when the sale will end with another week-long offer. Be sure to keep an eye on the Epic Games Store to keep track of which titles are going on sale, especially if there’s something you’ve got your eye on this holiday season.
