Although many of the monsters in Lethal Company will attack as soon as they notice the player, Dramatic Masks are much more creative. Lying on the floor and pretending to be ordinary scrap, these Masks do not raise suspicion but can destroy your entire team if you’re not careful. In addition, Mask monsters can spawn in the form of random enemies, and it’s not so easy to distinguish them from a real player. However, we are here to tell you everything about how to resist Masks in Lethal Company and how Tragedy Mask differs from Comedy Mask.
How To Survive Dramatic Masks in Lethal Company
Dramatic Masks are a hostile scrap that you can find as a Comedy Mask or Tragedy Mask on any moon in Lethal Company. Moreover, the only difference between these items is that we’d describe Comedy Mask as a satisfied monster. This enemy probably only recently released its previous victim (we will tell you why we think so later). Due to this, it tries to capture the player’s consciousness much less aggressively. On the other hand, Tragedy Mask has an increased chance of taking over your body.
Regardless of which Mask you pick up, you should take it to the ship as quickly as possible and throw it with the rest of the scrap to sell for an average of 40 Credits. The reason for your haste is that even holding this item in your hand, there’s a slight chance it will take over you. At the same time, if you hold the Dramatic Mask close to your face, it will take over your body after a random amount of time (it may only take a moment or a few seconds).
The best solution to resisting the Mask is never to wear it and sell it as fast as possible. But if the Mask still takes over you, you will die within five seconds, and your body will turn into a zombie. The only way to survive is to go through the teleporter, after which you will drop all your items, including the Dramatic Mask. Also, you can board a ship and fly into space. You will only have five seconds before your body dies, so the second option is only possible if you wear this item on board.
How To Kill Masks in Lethal Company
Once you turn into a zombie, the Mask on your face will 100% change to Comedy Mask. We think the mask is happy that it’s absorbed your soul and satisfied its hunger, which explains the less aggressive nature of this item variant. At the same time, the player’s body will become one with this item and turn into a zombie.
Fortunately, the Mask monster is not immortal and can be killed with 4-5 hits from a Shovel or any other melee weapon. Alternatively, you can kill this enemy with 1-2 shots from the shotgun. But this is only possible if you have previously killed Nutcracker. Also, to make it easier for you to counter this enemy, here are some facts about the players in Dramatic Masks:
- Firstly, this monster is not always a member of your team. It can spawn as a random monster.
- The Mask monster is marked on the Terminal map as a real player, but its movements are somewhat unrealistic.
- The Mask monster can leave the building and even enter the ship, just like the Phantom Girl.
- If a Mask player grabs another player, it will start vomiting blood, after which the second player will also turn into a mask.
- You can stun this enemy using a Zap Gun or Stun Grenade.
