Warframe Thermia Fractures Event Guide

Those fractures aren’t gonna seal themselves, Tenno.

The Thermia Fractures event in Warframe is back, and like always, very few understand how to do it. Well, most players don’t (and that’s part of the fun). That’s why we’re hoping you’ll take the lead in your public squad with the help of our Warframe Thermia Fractures event guide. Here’s a step-by-step process.

Step 1: Look for the Exploiter Orb Near the Temple of Profit (Northwest of Orb Vallis)

Fast travel to the Temple of Profit waypoint in Orb Vallis. There, you’ll have to look for the Exploiter Orb, which is the giant spider-bot roaming around. See the image below for reference.

It’s not the Exploiter Orb you’re after, but the much smaller Coolant Raknoid bots following it around. These enemies will keep circling the Temple of Profit.

Step 2: Ignore the Exploiter Orb, Kill the Coolant Raknoids, and Pick Up the Coolant Canisters

This is the tricky part, especially if you’re not well-equipped or if you don’t have a tanky Warframe. Just ignore the Exploiter Orb and focus your attention and aggression on the Coolant Raknoids.

You’ll need to kill the Coolant Raknoids for the coolant canisters they carry around. See the image below for reference.

You can only pick one of these Coolant Canisters at a time. Once you have them, it’s on to the next step, and you’re going to want an Archwing for this.

Step 3: Look for Thermia Fractures and Place the Coolant

Fly around the map with your Archwing (or if you’re feeling masochistic, just surf around with your K-Drive). You need to look for the actual Thermia Fractures spewing out of the terrain. They’re fairly easy to see since they emit pillars of heat. These fractures are all over the map.

Once you’ve found your Thermia Fracture, place the Coolant Canister you’re carrying on the node to start the sealing process.

Step 4: Defend the Coolant Canister

The Corpus won’t let you get away with this, and they’re going to stop you from plugging the Thermia Fractures so that their boss can profit from the disaster. At this point, the mission will turn into a Defense. You know what to do.

Don’t let anyone get near until the Thermia Fracture is sealed. Keep in mind that you can try to seal several Thermia Fractures at once if you can or if you have squadmates and want to divide the labor. This way, you can progress the event faster.

Step 5: Rinse and Repeat

Repeat Step 1 and just keep doing the Thermia Fracture event until you’ve progressed the event meter or hit the reward milestones. It’s a long process that might take you a couple of hours with a decent squad.

There are many Therma Fractures across Orb Vallis, and you will need to seal several of them with the Coolant Canisters. That’s why you’ll want a squad with you so that each of you can seal and defend one Thermia Fracture.

To recap, here are the steps for completing the Thermia Fracture event:

  1. Look for the Exploiter Orb near the Temple of Profit.
  2. Ignore the Exploiter Orb, kill the Coolant Raknoids, and pick up the Coolant Canisters.
  3. Look for Thermia Fractures and place the Coolant.
  4. Defend the Coolant Canister.
  5. Repeat Steps 1 – 4.
