Surviving in the dangerous world of Medieval Dynasty, where wars are raging and everything wants to kill you, is not easy, so it’s a good idea to make your own farm to have a minimum supply of food. So that you don’t have to spend time learning the nuances for yourself, we have created the ultimate farming guide for Medieval Dynasty. From preparing the land to harvesting, we’ll tell you about all the resources you need, as well as provide some tips and tricks to help you do it faster.
Medieval Dynasty: How to Grow Crops
So before we get started, you should learn the steps you need to take to make a farm:
- Place Farmland
- Obtain or buy the necessary resources you will need for farming.
- Cultivate the field and plant crop seeds according to the season.
- Wait for the crop to grow and harvest it.
It may look like a rather long and complicated process, but it is not, and almost every beginner can build their farm if they put in enough effort. So, let’s get started.
Place Farmland
The first thing to start with is, of course, to set up the farmlands where your crops will grow. Fortunately, they are available from the start, so you don’t need to progress to unlock them or get blueprints. Instead, just follow the steps below:
- Find a flat area where you want to start building your farm.
- Once you have done so, open the crafting menu by pressing the Q button.
- Go to the buildings category and select the farming section.
- Among the available things, find farmland and select the desired field options before you start placing them.
- Next, start placing them next to each other by clicking the left mouse button.
When the organization of the space is complete, make sure you have placed enough squares for all the crops you want to plant. You can plant one crop per square, but you need to cultivate the land first.
Get All the Necessary Resources and Tools
Both for cultivating land and planting crops, you will need resources and tools. The list is not long, but the search can take quite a while. So, here is everything you need for farming in Medieval Dynasty:
- Hoe – A tool for cultivating the land before planting seeds. You can create it using the crafting wheel. Crafting requires resources such as one Log and five Sticks.
- Fertilizer – Used to help seeds germinate. It can be obtained by crafting in the barn or purchased from a farming vendor in town.
- Bag – Used to spread fertilizer and seeds across the field. It can be crafted from resources such as two Leather and two Linen. Alternatively, you can also use the Simple Bag, crafted from three Leather.
- Seeds – The basis from which the crop will grow. Similar to fertilizer, it can be bought from a farming vendor.
So, when you have all these resources and tools, you can start cultivating and sowing the field.
Till the Field and Plant the Crop
So when the preparation is done, you can start the farming process. Here are the steps you need to take:
- Take a hoe and grub up the farmlands.
- Take the bag and spread the fertilizer.
- Next, use the Hoe to plow the field.
- Now, use the bag to scatter the seeds.
That’s it, you don’t need to water or take care of the crops, just wait for the harvest season. In the future, you will be able to automate this process by using NPCs. Also, don’t forget to plant seeds according to the season they grow. Here is a complete list of crops and information about them:
