A number of Sega trademarks have been made public, revealing even more old series that could potentially be revived. At The Game Awards, Sega revealed in a trailer that it’s reviving multiple old series with new games. The games revealed in that trailer were Jet Set Radio, Crazy Taxi, Shinobi, Golden Axe, and Streets of Rage. However, when the trailer listed those titles, it also said “and more” implying that even more old series would return. The now public trademarks hint at some of the old series that might be revived by Sega.

What Are the Sega Series Trademarks Included in the Reveal?

As reported by Gematsu, a number of recent Sega trademarks have become public, revealing some of the potential old series that it could be reviving. The trademarks include four of the five games already announced.

The other series included are:

  • Altered Beast
  • Eternal Champions
  • Kid Chameleon
  • Alex Kidd
  • After Burner
  • House of the Dead
  • Outrun
  • Super Monkey Ball

While none of these trademarks are confirmation that these games are getting new entries, Sega did tease that there will be more than the five games that it has recently announced. Some of these series have been active more recently than others. For example, Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania, a remake of the first two games in the series, released in 2021. House of the Dead also recently had a remake released on Nintendo Switch, but most of these games haven’t seen a new console entry in quite some time.

Sega revealed very little information about its revival of old series. No release dates, release windows, or platforms were announced for the new games. It also isn’t clear if these will be full-sized, full-price separate releases or smaller games. While there was gameplay shown for each title, there was such a small slice it’s hard to know how far along these games are.
