Introduced to Lords of the Fallen in the Season of Revelry event, the Seared Soul spell allows you to wield the demonic fire against your enemies. Like other Soulslikes, LotF gives players a wide arsenal of weapons with which to confront their foes, and Seared Soul is just one more great spell in your kit. As an Inferno spell, it’s associated with Adyr and his minions, so it’s perfect for anyone who wants to align themselves with their character’s dark side. You can use Seared Soul for PvE, but it might be most interesting as a way to catch opponents off-guard in PvP. Here’s what you need to know about to get Seared Soul in Lords of the Fallen.

Seared Soul is technically a minion spell, creating a copy of the titular flaming enemy and sending them chasing after your opponent. As soon as the Seared Soul is within reach, it will explode, inflicting burn buildup. The spell requires 22 Inferno and 25 Mana to cast. Getting the spell is a relatively simple process, but it can take some time depending on your luck, because the spell is an RNG drop from the enemy of the same name. Here are the steps you need to follow:

  • Start your journey from the Vestige of Doln
  • While facing the Vestige, turn right and pass through the gateway
  • Follow the trail ahead until a Seared Soul rises from the ground and attacks you
  • Kill the Seared Soul
  • If the spell doesn’t drop, return to the Vestige of Doln to rest and reset the enemies, repeating as necessary until an enemy drops the spell

The Seared Soul spell pairs well with other Inferno spells, so if you’re running an Inferno build, it’s worth considering. The spell’s main disadvantage is that it’s slow. The minion’s summoning animation takes some time before it’s available to charge the enemy. As such, it’s not a good primary spell. Still, it can be useful as a secondary power to create fun and unexpected mixups. Season of Revelry brought several cool surprises to Lords of the Fallen. This spell is arguably one of the best.

Lords of the Fallen is available for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S.
