Lots of players prefer stretching the resolution of Valorant. This gives you an advantage when it comes to popping off a shot with wider range. Valorant is special because there really isn’t a stretched resolution that truly gives players what they want. Let’s dive into how to get stretched res on Valorant.

You have to manually add the stretched res on Valorant. To do so, you need to determine what sort of GPU you have. Once that’s settled, follow the instructions for either an NVIDIA GPU or an AMD GPU.

NVIDIA GPU

The following are the steps you need to take if you’re using a NVIDIA GPU:

  1. Right-click on your desktop, select Show More Options, and select NVIDIA Control Panel.
  2. Go the the Manage 3D Settings and turn DSR Factors to Off.
  3. Select the Adjust Desktop Size and Resolution option.
  4. In the next window, choose the Full Screen option and check the box for the ‘Override the scaling mode set by games and programs’ option.
  5. From the drop-down list, select a stretched resolution or create your own.
  6. If you need to customize your own, go to the Change Resolution option.
  7. In the following window, uncheck the box next to ‘Enable resolutions not exposed by the display.
  8. Click on the Create Custom Resolution option and apply the resolution you want in the available text boxes.
  9. Head to the the game and go into the Settings option followed by the Video, then the General option.
  10. Choose the Windowed option and select the resolution that you customized earlier.
  11. Apply the changes and Confirm them to use them in-game.

AMD GPU

The following are the steps you need to take if you are using an AMD GPU:

  1. If you don’t already have it, get the AMD Radeon app from Radeon’s website.
  2. Right-click on your desktop, select Show More Options, and select AMD Radeon.
  3. On the top right of the window, select the Settings option.
  4. Select the Display selection and select the Custom Resolutions option.
  5. Select the Create New option and add a stretch resolution.
  6. Set the Timing Display to the stretched resolution you chose.
  7. Create and Save the resolution to confirm it.
  8. Head to the the game and go into the Settings option followed by the Video, then the General option.
  9. Choose the Windowed option and select the resolution that you customized earlier.
  10. Apply the changes and Confirm them to use them in-game.
