Kelly Ripa has swooped into her Instagram comments to explain and defend her Christmas Day photos. The talk show queen, 52, made headlines on December 25 for sharing a glammed-up dress look by her Christmas tree, but she also shared a skimpier outfit as she and husband Mark Consuelos twinned in t-shirts, with Kelly rocking what looked like underpants.
Clearly reading the fan comments left to her duo of images, Kelly commented as fans assumed that her briefs were undies. It looks like the Live! star is setting the record straight.

Opening with a traditional snap as she and Mark posed by their tree, Kelly stunned in a crystal-covered dress with a deep-cut neckline.
Flaunting her toned arms and shoulders, Kelly kept things festive as she chose a dark green shade for her evening dress, posing with a smile next to Mark, who wore a black shirt.
Upping the fun and the ante in a swipe right, Kelly returned in a t-shirt with “BIG NICK ENERGY” written on it. Mark wore the same tee in a different color.

Flashing her toned legs and slim waist, Kelly ditched the pants as she wore tiny green briefs, also donning a holiday-centric Santa hat in black and white.
“Big nick energy,” she wrote, adding: “Christmas 2023.” Fans were quick to fill the comments section. While some loved the photos, others weren’t so keen on the skimpy display.
“Really need to see your underwear,” one replied, using a facepalm emoji. “I think maybe crop out the underwear 😂 merry Christmas!” another said.
“But why? Everyone wears underwear. Even if it’s a swimsuit (as was clarified) what’s the difference? You see nothing more with underwear than with a swimsuit,” a further user chimed in. Kelly then commented. “It’s a bathing suit,” the mom of three fired back.
For one fan, the debate was all too much. Seemingly frustrated, they wrote: “People!!!! It’s a swimsuit!!!’ Can’t you see the cabana in the background!!! 🙄🙄 and if it was underwear, it’s her insta, she can post what she wants!! Good grief.”
Kelly’s festive post has now topped 82,000 likes. Celebrity likes were left by singers Jennifer Lopez and Rita Ora. The star is followed by 3.5 million on her Instagram.
