Warhammer and 40k are full of fearsome allies, and Rogue Trader players would do well to find the location of the Space Wolf companion. Like other Space Marine chapters, the Space Wolves have a well-earned reputation for courage and ferocity on the battlefield. Ulfar is an invaluable resource. He acts as a potent tank, capable of protecting your more vulnerable party members and dealing out considerable damage in melee. If you want to recruit this futuristic Viking, however, you’ll need to wait a while and look in the right place. Here’s what you need to know about where to find the location of the Space Wolf companion in Rogue Trader.

The main story will bring you right to Ulfar during Chapter 3. That means it’s only a matter of time before you meet him as you navigate the universe. As for the actual location of the Space Wolf companion in Rogue Trader, you can find him jailed by Terventias in the Anatomical Opera. This occurs during the Fury in Chains Errand. If you journey south after speaking with the Archmachinator, you will find Ulfar locked in a cage. After speaking with Ulfar, return to the Archmachinator. Follow the dialog until you’re offered the chance to request that the Space Marine come with you. Return to Ulfar with the Bone Key to recruit the Space Wolf.

Before leaving, remember to loot the chest beside Ulfar’s cage. It contains his equipment. That’s a bigger deal than normal because he can’t use conventional gear due to his massive size. Keeping an eye out for him during Fury in Chains is crucial because if players miss their opportunity to recruit the Space Wolf, then they won’t be able to recruit Ulfar for the rest of the game. Though Ulfar starts at Level 25 by default, the player can immediately level up to match the rest of the party if they are of a higher level upon encountering him.

Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader is available for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
