Final Fantasy XIV takes every opportunity to celebrate in Eorzea with events inspired by real holidays, and Heavensturn is no exception. The end-of-the-year event represents the game’s New Year’s celebration and offers various unique and fun rewards to collect. While most Heaventurn events offer a new glamour or head slot item, this year’s reward is actually adorable. Let’s break down everything you need to know about the FFXIV Heavensturn 2024 event.
What Is the Release Date for Heavensturn 2024?
The FFXIV Heavensturn 2024 event will begin on Sunday, December 31, 2023, at 7:00 AM PST. You will have until the end of the event to collect the rewards and do the unique quest chain. Heavensturn 2024 concludes on Monday, January 15, 2024, at 6:59 AM PST.
FFXIV Heavensturn 2024 Quest Location
As with every holiday event in FFXIV, you will need to find the quest giver, who usually resides in one of the main cities of Eorzea. Luckily, this task is quite simple. Ryu Metsuke can be located in the Upper Decks of Limsa Lominsa at coordinates (X:11.5 and Y:13.9.) You must be at least level 15 on a combat job to accept the quest.
Ryu gives the quest “To Be a Mascot.” Follow the steps around Limsa Lominsa, and you will eventually get a follow-up quest titled “Unlike a Dragon” that rewards a new minion and the Next Time, on Dragon ‘Bo achievement.
FFXIV Heavensturn 2024 Rewards
As mentioned before, FFXIV Heaventurn 2024 offers a cute new reward for those who partake in the quest. Completing the chain started by Ryu Metsuke will end with the Ryunosuke minion.
This adorable little collectible is a baby Chocobo dressed in a dragon costume. More specifically, it sports a dragon costume reminiscent of the ryu dragon totem animal for the FFXIV Heavensturn 2024 event. This is a festive nod to the Chinese zodiac’s upcoming Year of the Dragon.
For those who missed out on any previous FFXIV Heaventurn events, certain rewards from the past can be obtained from the Festival Supplier near Ryu Metsuke in Limsa Lominsa.
