Anno 1800 Crown Falls Layout Guide

Say goodbye to the Old World!

This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

True to its name, Crown Falls in Anno 1800 is the crown jewel of your Industrial Age empire. It’s the biggest map in the game, with a landmass that can accommodate the largest city you can build. That city is meant to be your magnum opus, your capital city. And as with any capital city, you need careful planning, which is where our Anno 1800 Crown Falls layout guide falls in.

We’re gonna be dividing the layouts per district with considerations on beauty building, efficiency, and sustainability. We’re also going to assume that you offloaded the Worker and Farmer population and the industries to other islands since their housings are low-density and don’t exactly look picturesque for our Anno 1800 Crown Falls layout.

You can refer to the image above for the final and modified image of the layout. As for the building plans, here’s the template image from user Modikin to help you. It’s a symmetrical rectangle layout, meaning you can easily double it and turn it into a square, although the original rectangular layout means it can fit better in Crown Falls’ space.

The layout was originally meant for just the center World Fair structure. However, you can modify it to add the Iron Tower and even the Skyline Tower at the center. It’s more accommodating compared to other rigid layouts.

The rectangular shape allows for higher customizability compared to most square layouts. It also boasts a good balance of Artisan, Engineer, and Investor housing as well as a nice concentration of population.

If you want a layout for skyscrapers, this isn’t the most ideal, by the way. At most, it’s a fair imitation of the city of Paris with relatively low buildings and a clean skyline to accentuate either the Iron Tower or the World Fair building.

This layout is for Skyscrapers and is one of the most efficient uses of those towering anomalies. A circular pattern from user Lambs2Lions makes good use of verticality and the Town Hall building. Investors and Engineers get their own skyscraper district that’s self-sustaining. You can place the facility buildings at the edges of the circular layout.

You can also put four of these adjacently in a large square layout, so you’ll only need two Power Plants to sustain the whole setup. It’s a pretty straightforward layout, and you don’t need to modify much if you’re just looking to cram as many Investors as possible in those buildings.

Ideally, you don’t want these skyscraper districts near the Iron Tower (Eiffel Tower imitation) as they’ll just block the beautiful structure.

As for the other districts, such as tourists, scholars, and the specialized population tiers, they can simply follow a square grid pattern where all the facility buildings are at the center. That’s the standard way to build cities for any Anno 1800 Crown Falls layout.
