After almost a year of the game’s official launch, we’re finally getting the continuation of the Trailblaze story in The Land of Dreams. During the Special Program for Honkai Star Rail 2.0, we got the first official look at Penacony, the stage of our next adventure. Besides that, we saw many of the upcoming events set to arrive in a few weeks and the three new characters that’ll join us as soon as we step into this wild and stylish new area.
Honkai Star Rail Reveals Penacony During Its 2.0 Special Program
For newcomers to any HoYoverse game, you should know that the 2.0 update for Honkai Star Rail is a big deal; that’s why we got such a unique Special Program today. However, in case you missed it, we’ve compiled every major reveal of the things coming to the new update on February 6, 2024.
- New Area
- Penacony, The Land of Dreams.
- New Trailblaze Mission
- The new main story quests will begin in version 2.0 and conclude in version 2.3 with an epilogue, making this the largest story in the game so far.
- New Characters
- Black Swan (5-Star/Nihility/Wind) – Phase 1
- Sparkle (5-Star/Harmony/Quantum) – Phase 2
- Misha (4-Star/Destruction/Ice) – Phase 1
- Character Reruns
- Imbibitor Lunae (5-Star/Destruction/Imaginary) – Phase 1
- Jing Yuan (5-Star/Erudition/Lightning) – Phase 2
- New Light Cones
- Players will also get a new lineup of Light Cones in the Manifest Store.
- New Events
- One of the limited-time events will reward Guinaifen, Sampo, Yukong, or Asta.
- Quality of Life Updates
- A new option to equip recommend relic sets for characters.
- Improvements to the Salvage Relic function.
- Players can select up to three support characters for other Trailblazers to use in missions.
- New Relic Sets
- Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters (DoT focused)
- Watchmaker, Master of Dream Machinations (Break-Effect focused)
- New Character Ascension Materials
- Fate’s Atlas System
- A new feature that organizes every game’s mission in a timeline to help players understand the chronological order of events and quests.
As you can see, the 2.0 version for Honkai Star Rail will be packed, but there was a lot more during the Special Program. We saw new enemies, such as a buffed Trashcan and a robotic dinosaur with a chef’s hat, a terrific new music video, and even the reveal of the first official Honkai Star Rail concert.
