Best Sujimon in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth

Quite the catch.

Between singing karaoke, doing Shogi puzzles, and beating up gangsters, Ichiban Kasuga still makes time to catch, train, and battle Sujimon. Yakuza‘s not-so-subtle homage to famous creature-catching games has a surprising amount of depth, and like other activities in Infinite Wealth, it’s easy to lose dozens of hours with this side content. There are elements, movesets, and party compositions to consider, making some Sujimon far more effective than others, at least in the right circumstances. Here are the best Sujimon in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.

Several Sujimon are arguably the best in Infinite Wealth, but even after considering their health, special moves, SP/MP costs, and other factors, part of their worth depends upon your party composition. That said, some Sujimon boast such impressive stats or special moves that they’re almost always good picks for your team. The Kiwami Sujimon sit at the top of this list, so you should prioritize getting them when you can. That’s far from guaranteed thanks to the RNG of the Gacha, but here are the Sujimon you’ll want to look out for:

  • Kiwami Red (Blaze)
  • Kiwami Blue (Frost)
  • Kiwami Green (Nature)
  • Kiwami Gold (Light)
  • Kiwami Violet (Shadow)

If you purchased Infinite Wealth‘s DLC via the game’s Ultimate Edition, that’s good news, because you have access to some top-tier Sujimon that aren’t available in the base game. Seonhee, Kiryu, and even the Legendary Bear and Tiger are all strong picks. These powerful Sujimon outclass most of the basic characters you’ll collect, and with 15 of them to choose from, you’ll have no problem covering any elemental weakness your team might have.

Best Non-Kiwami Sujimon

If you don’t have the Ultimate Edition and haven’t lucked into any Kiwami Sujimon yet, don’t worry. You can still put together a powerful team. It will just take more work. Just like picking the best party members, picking the best Sujimon requires you to pay particular attention to the moves they bring to the table. Here are some of the best non-Kiwami Sujimon in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth:

  • Suji Delinquent and Bonecleaver (Shadow)
  • Suji Black Belt and King Joe (Light)
  • Suji Bear and Munanugget Messiah (Nature)
  • Suji Surfer and Scarred Yakuza (Frost)
  • Suji Machine and Sodachi (Blaze)

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
