Jessica Simpson went pretty in pink to mark Valentine’s Day 2024, but not everyone seeing the Instagram-posted photos was in the mood to send love. Earlier this week, the 43-year-old fashion designer dolled herself up in a sparkly strapless dress for a date night with husband Eric Johnson, and the photos quickly went viral.
Showing off the 100 pounds she’s dropped, Jessica went busty in her glittery dress as she added in platform heels. Users viewing The Daily Mail‘s report of the look seemed to have mixed views, though.

Posing indoors and backed by a large mirror framed by bulb lighting, Jessica looked ready for a fancy dinner as she went low-cut in a strapless, glitter-encrusted pink minidress with a thigh-skimming length.
Drawing the eye to her trim waistline and toned arms, the Jessica Simpson Style founder posed with her hands on her hips as she flashed her legs, adding a faux fur stole in pink and a sky-high, gold pair of platforms.

Sporting her blonde locks down and going for a bold red lip, Jessica looked flawless as she shot the camera a fierce gaze. In a swipe right, the star lost the poker face for a more fun pose, this time also revealing her heart-shaped earrings. A red lips emoji was the only caption.
“Somebody please tell her that those big clumpy shoes are hideous!” one fan replied. Jessica tends to prove a hit for her choice of footwear and was recently dubbed an “icon” by Footwear News.
“She was very pretty when younger. Now she looks good for a X rated worker. I hate it when media tells women they have to look forever young! No you don’t have to, only very few can,” another wrote. Also criticizing the shoes was a user writing: “She always wears awful hideous shoes.”
Meanwhile, a further fan queried Jessica’s sense of style as they replied: “She really has kept her fashion sense from the early 2000s. She needs to update it.”
Jessica has not revealed how she spent Valentine’s Day. Together with husband Eric, the blonde is a parent to children Maxwell, Ace, and Birdie Mae.
Shortly before Valentine’s Day, Jessica posted to promote Gonna Need Milk, posing in a tank top and holding a glass of cow’s milk. Fans initially slammed the post, but more supportive replies have since come in.
