If you’re new to Nightingale, it’s only a matter of time before you will need to face down the Fabled Automaton Knight and defeat it. Defeating the Fabled Automaton Knight unlocks some pretty cool things that will push you through the next few quest steps easily, but defeating the Knight is more difficult of a task than you might realize. The Site of Power Knight brings a new type of damage to the table that you probably haven’t encountered yet, and it’s quite painful if you’re not properly equipped to deal with it.

The Fabled Automaton Knight can always be found in the lowest level of the Site of Power in the Abeyance Realm that you first hop into after the tutorial. After reaching the required Gear Power level, you’ll need to head through the Site of Power, clearing every level until you reach the bottom. There, after you interact with the button connected to the large device in the center of the room, the Fabled Automaton Knight will appear.

The Fabled Automaton Knight has some interesting combat techniques that make him rather weak to certain types of damage and strong against others. The Fabled Automaton Knight uses elemental-based melee attacks, which means you can easily run out of the range of his blows.

That said, the best way to take him down is with a ranged weapon, like the Slingbow, and some Marble ammo for it. Stock up on 50-100 ammo and head down there to take him on. Your attacks should deal a relatively high amount of damage to him, so long as you keep kiting the Fabled Automaton Knight and avoid letting him get an attack on you. As long as you keep this technique up, you’ll have him down in no time.

Jordan is an experienced fantasy writer who spends hours behind her laptop, and lost in the pages of a book. She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things โ€œgeekโ€. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you canโ€™t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
