Traveling all the way to a portal in Nightingale really is a hassle. Like, don’t get me wrong, portals are super helpful and they can take you to all kinds of wonderful or terrifying places, but why do they always have to be so difficult to get to? After you hit a certain part in Nightingale‘s story, you actually unlock the option to create your own Crude Portals. That means you can have your very own portal right in your base. However, you’ll have to collect the right items first and deal with some pretty annoying enemies in the process, but it’s still well worth it to know how to build your own Crude Portal in Nightingale.

Unlocking your own Crude Portal blueprint requires you to appease Puck and surprise him with your capabilities as a Realmwalker. You’ll need to clear a very specific are in your first Antiquarian Realm that allows you to pick up the Synchronous Lotus. The Synchronous Lotus can be found in a magic chest locked behind loads of enemies after you clear the Realmic Transmuter Ruins. You’ll need to face dozens of enemies to get to it, but once they’re down for good, the chest unlocks and you can pick up your first Synchronous Lotus, after which Puck will appear and wish to speak with you.

Jordan is an experienced fantasy writer who spends hours behind her laptop, and lost in the pages of a book. She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
