In a survival game where attacking enemies with a bow and arrow is a gift, finding a rifle could turn the gameplay into god mode. The rifle in Sons of The Forest allows the player to shoot long-range targets, while also dealing a massive amount of damage. But remember, finding this weapon in Sons of The Forest could be a frightening task.
Where To Find The Rifle in Sons of The Forest
You can find the rifle in Sons of The Forest in a cave located on the east side of the map. This is Cave D, located right in front of a large lake, below the big mountain. The rifle is at the far end of this cave, but you should be prepared for the horrors that await.
Before heading inside, remember that you need to be fully prepared to face the enemies. Bring your weapons, a flashlight or torch, and most importantly, a Rebreather. If you don’t have a Rebreather already, you can get one by entering the cave on the north side of the map. This cave is easier to pass and loot, and here’s where you can find it:
So with everything set and ready, it’s time for a scary adventure to find the rifle in Sons of The Forest. Enter the cave on the east side of the map, and turn on your flashlight. Here you need to stick to the right-hand side and follow the wall. Skip any extra area you see, and don’t try fighting the mutants along the way.
Following the path you’ll come across a deep water, and this is where the Rebreather comes to your aid. Deep dive, and follow the wall on your right, all the way to the end. Once you’ve reached the surface, keep on following the right side wall till you get to a lightened place.
Here you’ll find a dead soldier on the ground, holding the rifle and its ammo in Sons of The Forest. Take your prize, and head outside; if you’re confident about your gear, stay in the cave and loot the open areas you’ve skipped.
Finding the rifle in Sons of The Forest and shooting down the targets with it is so satisfying. But still, this is a survival game, and it means you need to count every bullet before pulling the trigger. Finding ammo for the rifle is not so easy; unless you want to cheat.
