However, after playing through several playthroughs, we realized these were the most fun to use. Some might seem odd, but they do wonders in certain situations. So, with that out of the way, let’s start this ranking.
10. Lone Wolf
It’s hard to forget our first love, isn’t it? That one that holds our hand in every moment. Through thick and thin. Through Albinaurics and Godrick Soldiers. That’s the Lone Wolf for you. While it says “wolf,” this Spirit Ash actually summons three wolves that will tank, attack, and annoy any enemy for you. It doesn’t have the greatest damage output, but it makes up for its fast attacks that can break an enemy’s poise or interrupt its attacks. If possible, hold on to this Spirit Ash for as long as you can.
9. Bloodhound Knight Fohl
Do you remember that boss you fought inside an Evergaol where Blaidd helps you? Yeah, this is one of them. It doesn’t have any special effects or add build-ups to its attacks, but oh boy, it hits hard. It is extremely aggressive and will fight anyone around you. Yes, it won’t follow you, but it’ll wreak havoc in an area until the Spirith Ash or your foes drop dead — or drop dead again? Hard to know with Spirt Ashes these days.

Just like us, you might’ve been surprised when you met these guys cartwheeling their way to ruin your day. Well, how about you ruin someone else’s day with them? Albinauric is some of the best Spirit Ashes in Elden Ring that can freeze enemies, make a lot of area attacks, and stay rolling for a lot of time. They are not the most durable of Spirit Ashes, but they’ll surely annoy those around you. So, why not take them for a spin? No pun intended.
7. Azula Beastman
You might remember this guy from the first dungeon you likely experienced in the game. Well, it is now your faithful companion who can smack enemies with its ridiculously long sword and annoy them with long jumps. While we love its DPS potential, it doesn’t have a lot of health. It might drop dead with a few hits, but it is otherwise great if you’re the tank and can keep an enemy’s sight on you.
6. Dolores the Sleeping Arrow Puppet
The one reason we picked Dolores for this list is its crowd-control skills. Most players might remember how useful the sleep build-up is in the game. Yes, it requires a fast weapon and a lot of practice to make enemies snooze on the spot, so why not have someone else do it for you? That’s our trusty Dolores for you. However, it’ll take a while for you to acquire this Spirit Ash. You have to follow up on specific quests, and if not, prepare to spend a few Star Shards to get it.
5. Banished Knight Oleg
This is the Spirit Ash that made many players go, “Can I really summon this?” Yes, you can! Oleg is one of the first Spirt Ashes you’ll get in Elden Ring and one of the best for the early game. It has a lot of health and is extremely tanky, making it great while you’re working to create an ideal build for you. Furthermore, don’t let its size fool you. It’s quite mobile and will make enemies focus on him while you hit foes mercilessly.
4. Nightmaiden and Swordstress Puppet
Nokstelle is one of the best-looking zones in Elden Ring. It has some of the best views and the most decorated halls in the game. However, it isn’t a walk in the park. If you’ve delved deep enough, chances are you might’ve encountered any of the Nox enemies. White-robed foes who throw mists at you and attack with swords capable of morphing. If that sounds annoying to you, imagine it for your enemies. Thankfully, you can find a group of Nox foes to join your group and spread that silvery mist upon everyone.

This one is difficult to find, and we’re talking about both the NPC and the Spirit Ashes, yet Latenna is one of the best in Elden Ring. To get her, you must either do her quest or wait long enough for her to meet her demise. Either way, you must explore and boss-beating before getting this fantastic magic archer. Also, if possible, try to have her near a Direwolf; there’s a surprise in it for you.
2. Black Knife Tiche
Have you ever experienced the pleasure of burning down an enemy with two Black Blades? Yeah, that’s what Black Knife Tiche can give you. This sneaky assassin is undoubtedly one of the best Spirit Ashes in the game. It’ll dodge even the most ridiculous attacks while applying a heavy-hitting DoT on enemies. If you want to slowly see an enemy’s health bar drop while watching your personal ninja jump around in a fight, she’s the spectral companion for you.

People say your worst enemy is yourself, but it can also be your biggest ally. Fighting and obtaining the Mimic Tear is one of the greatest surprises in the game, both good and bad. It’s bad because you have to fight yourself to obtain it. It is great because you can duplicate yourself perfectly and smack enemies on the double. Without a doubt, this is the best Spirit Ash you can get in Elden Ring.
