Nightingale has a rich list of materials you’ll need to collect to craft new gear and unlock new content. One of the new materials you can get is Mechanical Gears, a resource necessary for upgrading certain workbenches for crafting better items. Creating higher-tier equipment means raising your gear score and unlocking newer and harder content, making knowing how to get Mechanical Gears in Nightingale crucial.

Mechanical Gears are something you can craft for yourself using a Brazier, which costs six Ingots and three Shafts. You can find this recipe from most Essence Traders in the game. After unlocking the Brazier and setting it up in your base, you’ll be able to craft some Mechanical Gears. Mechanical Gears are made from Metal Ingots.

Some Essence Traders in Provisioner Realms will also sell Mechanical Gears if you’re in desperate need of them, although we recommend saving your T1 Essence and using it to buy more important items that you don’t have easy access to. It is relatively cheap, but you should plan on crafting most of your Mechanical Gears regardless.

You can find Mechanical Gears randomly throughout Nightingale‘s many different realms, but you’ll find most of them in Provisioner Realms. These spawns aren’t consistent, and you won’t really be able to follow a set pattern to farm these items, but they are worth seeking out while you’re exploring to potentially cut down on some grind. Regardless, there are plenty of ways to obtain Mechanical Gears in Nightingale. Be sure to find as many of this resource as you can to upgrade your equipment, increasing that ever-desired gear score so you can conquer some of the tougher enemies you face.
