When Avalanche infiltrated Junon to meet with Rufus, things went well for a while. You somehow joined a parade and even received the president’s commendation. Unfortunately, Yuffie didn’t get the memo and attempted to assassinate the new president of Shinra. Now, the team has to escape from the city, with Cloud acting as bait for the Seventh Infantry. While Cloud can fool most of the infantry soldiers, he still has to deal with the pesky SOLDIER 3rd Class. Roche refuses to let Cloud flee peacefully, and you must beat him in a fight to make him back down in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Roche Boss Fight Guide
Roche will ride his bike during the whole fight and use the arena to his advantage. He is pretty hard to catch, and you won’t be able to hit him most of the time. You should exercise a lot of patience and stay on guard until he gets close enough for you to attack him.
Here are Roche’s attributes in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth:

You should cast fire magic or abilities to exploit Roche’s weakness and pressure him. If he gets pressured while riding the walls, the boss will drop to the ground and retaliate. However, if you hurt him enough, he will spin out and stop moving for several seconds.
Another great way to pressure Roche in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is by parrying his dash attack. This is easier said than done, though, since the SOLDIER is very agile when on the wheel. I usually ended up blocking his attack and then retaliated when he stopped for a second to turn around.
I also recommend equipping the Phoenix Materia that you can obtain from Chadley. This Summon has a powerful Fire skill, Crimson Rondure, that can greatly harm Roche. This Summon can even be stronger if you have discovered the three Divine Intels in the Junon region.
Besides dashing toward you, Roche can also cast various Lightning magic while riding on the walls. If you are about to get hit, the ground around you will light up for a second, and you must roll out of the way before the lightning strikes.
