Crafting makes up a big part of Nightingale‘s gameplay. You need to craft items in order to thrive in the game and for that, you must gather different resources that can be found in certain areas. Spice is one of these items that you can make and here is how to get and use them in Nightingale.

Crafting and altering items in Nightingale requires certain stations that you must build at your station. In case of making some Spice in Nightingale, you need a Refined Mortar Station. The only place you can purchase its schematics is from the Essense Trader of a Provisioner realm in the game. Creating a Refined Mortar Station requires these items:

  • 3x Lumber
  • 4x Carved Stone
  • 2x Stone, Mineral, Gem, or Pigment

Now if you use the Mortar Station and check the Spice option, you will see that you need 10 Raw Spice in order to make 5 pieces of Spice. The very first option you have for Raw Spice is the Bound Ichor. You can collect Bound Ichor by defeating the horned variants of the Bound enemy which can only be found in the Provisioner realm. Once you have enough Ichor, go back to your station and cook some spice. To summarize how you can craft Spice in Nightingale:

  • Travel to a Provisioner Realm and make a Refind Morter Station there
  • Defeat the horned variety of Bound enemy and collect Bound Ichor
  • Use Bound Ichor to craft Spice at the Refind Mortar Station

Additionally, you can buy Spice from the Essence trader of the Provisioner realm for a price as well. Spices are generally used for adding different buffs to foods you cook in the game.
